چکیده

Abstract Nasopharyngeal cancer shows a good response to intensity-modulated radiotherapy. However, there is no clear evidence for the benefits of routine use image-guided The purpose this study was perform retrospective investigation treatment outcomes, treatment-related complications and prognostic factors nasopharyngeal treated with radiotherapy techniques. Retrospective analysis performed on 326 consecutive patients between 2004 2015. Potentially significant patient-related variables were analyzed. Radiation-related recorded. 5-year overall survival disease-free rates these 77.9% 70.5%, respectively. Age, AJCC (American Joint Committee Cancer) stage, retropharyngeal lymphadenopathy, interruption body mass index independent survival. In conclusion, significantly improves outcomes cancer. With aid radiotherapy, advantage might be further amplified.

Prognostic Value of Cavernous Sinus Invasion in Patients with Nasopharyngeal Carcinoma Treated with Intensity-Modulated Radiotherapy

PURPOSE To investigate the prognostic value of cavernoussinus invasion (CSI) in patients with nasopharyngeal carcinoma (NPC) treated with intensity-modulated radiotherapy (IMRT). PATIENTS AND METHODS Retrospective review of data from 1,087 patients with biopsy-proven, non-metastatic NPC. All patients were diagnosed using magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) scans and received IMRT as the primary ...

Prognostic factors of 305 nasopharyngeal carcinoma patients treated with intensity-modulated radiotherapy.

BACKGROUND AND OBJECTIVE Radiotherapy is effective in treating nasopharyngeal carcinoma (NPC). This study evaluated the treatment efficacy, toxicity, and prognostic factors of intensity-modulated radiotherapy (IMRT) in the treatment NPC. METHODS Between September 2003 and September 2006, 305 patients with NPC were treated with IMRT in Fujian Provincial Cancer Hospital. IMRT was delivered as f...

Postirradiation otitis media with effusion in nasopharyngeal carcinoma patients treated by intensity-modulated radiotherapy.

OBJECTIVES/HYPOTHESIS Postirradiation otitis media with effusion (OME) is a common adverse otologic effect in nasopharyngeal carcinoma (NPC) patients treated by radiotherapy. The purpose of this study was to determine the long-term incidence of postirradiation OME in NPC patients following intensity-modulated radiotherapy (IMRT) and to evaluate the potential factors associated with the developm...
